Christian Debt Free Living - Riding The Halo

As a whole, our country is about as far away from Christian debt free living as one could possibly get. We're an abusive gang of alcoholics spending money like it was our job - and being born into America today our job basically is to spend money and enjoy the fat life.

Enough of that. We're turning a corner and realizing our hedonistic, credit card spending ways are running us into the ground. Is Christian debt free living the only way out of our quagmire? No - but having the good lord on your side never hurt.

Christian debt free living vs. Miami Beach

Custom Debt Solutions is a small non-profit company based in beautiful South Florida - also the new home for excess and sleaze. There is nothing Christian about the average lifestyle on, say, Miami Beach - plastic surgery, drug addictions and Ferrari habits are all hidden away somewhere in the book of Luke or something. This is not Christian debt free living. Christian debt free living is about chastity, obedience, keeping a careful eye on your financial sins:

• Credit card abuse
• Excessive spending
• Living beyond your means in the lap of luxury.

Can't afford Miami Beach? Debt is not the answer! Move back home, to Omaha, to Portland or Moscow or Buenos Aires - anywhere where affordability and cautious spending is a trait to be praised.

There is no soul in rock and roll

But as the Piano Man himself once said, "Its better to laugh with the sinners than cry with the saints." To be honest, Christian debt free living just doesn't sound like a lot of fun, and in a place where fun is the name of the game you're gonna have a hard time convincing yourself that Christian debt free living is the only path to a worthwhile life.

So come on and give debt a chance! Its not all bad, and some are actually essential for your survival. Christian debt free living needs to go the way of the Dodo - beaten to death by a Portuguese whaling crew.
